Researchers have uncovered the stone slab in Jerusalem’s Church of the Holy Sepulchre venerated as the resting place of Jesus Christ.

The slab, which has been covered by marble cladding since at least 1555 A.D., has been exposed as part of a major restoration project at the church, National Geographic reports.

Notes on Revelation (Chapters 1-7)

Revelation Chapter 1: John's vision

John has a Revelation and tells how it came about. It is important that the churches know that the revelation comes from Jesus, and that they understand that the revelation was also validated by the Holy Spirit.

Peter the 'rock': What's in a name?

TEXT: MATTHEW 16:18

In the passage above, we see three things are going on. We see Jesus talking about the church, Simon's name is changed to "Peter" and Jesus talks about the effect that the church will have on something called the "gates of hell".

So, yes, this is a three-parter, so it will be easier to read.

We have already taken care of the "gates of hell" part HERE (please click). And we'll take care of the charge of the church later.

Jesus heals Simon Peter's mother-in-law

TEXT: MARK 1:29-34.

Still in Capernaum, Jesus and his four disciples (Simon (Peter), Andrew, James and John) leave the synagogue where Jesus had just cast devils out of a worshiper, and proceed to the home of Simon and Andrew.

Now, in this passage of scripture, we see Jesus heal Simon's mother-in-law, followed by an evening of healing and deliverance of a large crowd of people afflicted with diseases or demons
